The salmon salad was, first and foremost, a salad. The majority of the space was taken up by beautiful, fresh lettuce which was topped with red onion and a nicely portioned piece of grilled salmon. Seasoned minimally, yet efficiently, the fish was fresh and had a nice flavor. Topped with a tarragon vinaigrette that pulled all of the flavors together, the salad was simple, yet delicious.
The hearty lentil soup, smokey and seasoned, featured lentils, carrots, and ham. I liked the chunky texture, and flavored broth. Classic in it’s ingredients and flavoring, it wasn’t the most remarkable lentil soup I’ve had, but it hit the spot.
While my meal was not completely showstopping, Towson Tavern delivered a solid gluten-free meal when I most needed it. I certainly appreciate that Order Up Towson and Towson Tavern were up and at ’em on such a dismal day, and were able to get me food when I couldn’t even leave my dorm. I certainly hope to check out their next seasonal menu.
